Adults with Young People
Beaver Scout, Cub Scout or Scout Leader
These are the people who are the actual leader of the section
they are involved in. With their team they organise and run
the section. They are uniformed members and make the Scout
Promise and hold what is known as a warrant.
Although the main task is to make sure that the program is
balanced and fun for the young people and following the Scout
Associations progressive award scheme they also do some weekend
activities and preparation for the program on top.
Assistant Beaver Scout, Cub Scout
or Scout Leader
This role is also warranted and uniformed. The job description
is to assist the section leader for which ever section they
are in, preparing and running the section. Ideally would mean
attending meetings and some weekend activities.
Colony, Pack or Troop Assistant
Should not be confused with the above leaders. These adults
do not hold a warrant and can be uniformed or non-uniformed
members. They hold a certificate of appointment and are mainly
there to help with activities on the night of their section
meetings and on other activities if available.
