Adults in support
Group Scout Leader
This person is the manager of the group. It is a uniformed
and warranted appointment and would suit someone with people
management skills and some Scouting experience but this is
not essential. They would work closely with the group Chairperson
to make sure the group is running properly including having
financial security. This is this person who is responsible
for appointing the group chairperson. They could also be asked
to help out in one of the sections within the group should
they be short of leaders subject to availability.
Under the adult learning scheme they will be required to
complete Modules 1 - 10 and Modules 20 - 26 inclusive this
depends on experience.
Group Executive
The Group and its Leader team is supported by the Executive
Committee. The role of the Executive Committee is to oversee
the running of the Group and to organise fundraising events
to allow the Sections to provide the best possible scouting
to the young people within the Group. The Exec Committee is
made up of the Chairman, Secretary, Treasurers, Subscriptions
Secretary, Group Scout Leader, Section Leaders and any parents
or helpers who would like to help.
